The Yunlin Huben Fairy Pitta Wildlife Habitat is a long-term project managed by the Nantou Forest District Office and one of Taiwan’s best spots for bird watching. Apart from the rare fairy pitta, which makes the annual migratory journey to Taiwan to nest and rear their young, nature enthusiasts can marvel at the spring arrival of purple crow butterflies as well as the profusion of other endemic wildlife here.
